MLB Playoffs Blog: Kershaw, Betts dazzle in Dodgers' Game 1 win

Clayton Kershaw got the win and the Dodgers backed him up with heavy offence to get a Game 1 win over the Rays in the World Series.

Clayton Kershaw penned the latest chapter of his "Playoff Narrative" on Tuesday, and let's just say it reads well.

Kershaw, a notoriously precarious post-season performer, struck out eight while allowing just one run in six innings.

Meanwhile, the Dodgers' prized off-season acquisition — Mookie Betts — added two hits (including a home run), a walk and a pair of stolen bases to lead the Los Angeles Dodgers' offence in an 8-3 win over the Tampa Bay Rays.

You can find a recap of all the action from World Series Game 1 in our MLB playoffs blog below. And make sure to catch Game 2 on Wednesday, with coverage beginning at 8:00 p.m. ET on Sportsnet and SN Now.
